JWU Charlotte Ranked #11 “Best Value: Regional Colleges, South” By U.S. News & World Report

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — September 23, 2025 – Johnson & Wales University’s Charlotte Campus moved up to number 11 in the “Best Value: Regional Colleges, South” ranking, according to the latest report from U.S. News & World Report.
“Today, as U.S. News & World Report releases its annual rankings, I am pleased to see the hard work of our faculty and staff over the last year being recognized nationwide,” said Chancellor Mim Runey, LP.D. “From its founding more than 110 years ago, Johnson & Wales University has always been committed to adapting to meet the ever-changing needs of our students and the industries they aspire to. We are proud to be recognized for this innovative spirit.”
The “best value” ranking reflects the university’s commitment to provide greater access and affordability to cutting-edge, industry-responsive education. Over the past year, Johnson & Wales announced the JWU Pledge, an initiative which provides up to 100 percent of tuition for eligible students and families, as well as the launch of the first higher education institution in the Southeast to offer an in-person, three-year bachelor’s degree paired with a full residential experience. This innovative degree program, designed to meet the needs of students who are eager to enter the workforce quickly and with less financial burden, will allow students to finish their degree in just three years with 90-96 credits instead of the traditional 120.
In addition to the JWU Charlotte Campus being ranked number 11 in “Best Value: Regional Colleges, South, it was also ranked in the following categories:
· Best Colleges: South: 33
· Social Mobility: 58
· Best School for Veterans, Regional Colleges South: 7
The JWU Providence Campus moved up to number seven in the "Most Innovative: Regional Universities, North” ranking, according to the latest report from U.S. News & World Report. JWU Providence also moved up seven spots in the overall “Regional Universities, North” category.
