Meredith Young

Merdith Young PT, DPT, PhD(c), board-certified orthopedic physical therapist, is an assistant professor in the department of Physical Therapy at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI. Her teaching focus is on evaluation and management of musculoskeletal conditions and health promotion and wellness. Her research is focused on evaluating biopsychosocial risk factors for musculoskeletal injuries in service members and other athletic and active populations.
Young has more than 10 years of clinical experience, where she treats a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions, with a special interest in athletic populations and the musculoskeletal management of REDs. She is currently completing her Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Science at MGH IHP, and the focus of her dissertation is on injury surveillance protocols and identifying holistic risk factors for injury during cadet initial military training.
